Uh oh i think i bleached my skin!?

i used nair on the skin between my eyebrows and i left it on for 8 minutes (it was the kind specifically for your face) and there was no itching or redness or rashes, all the hair came off beautifully, but now the skin there is like a little lighter than the skin on the rest of my face!

please tell me it'll like go back to normal in a couple of days!|||The chemical that dissolves the hair in the Nair face formula is calcium hydroxide.

Your skin is covered with dead skin cells, which protect the living cells underneath. The link below is to a diagram that shows the layers of your skin. The part of your skin that has pigment in it is below the layer of dead cells.

When you use Nair, it dissolves the hairs, but it also dissolves some of the dead skin cells on the surface of your skin. What probably happened in your case is that you took off some of the dead skin. The fact that there was no redness or rash indicates that the top layer of your skin is still intact, which means it is still protecting the pigment layer below it.

So yes, this is indeed temporary. I can't predict how fast it will come back to normal, but you could try using an exfoliating scrub on the rest of your face to even it out.

I hope this helps.
