Fungus? Skin condition? Help me please.?

Lately, I've been getting random places on my legs, feet(mostly feet though), hands, and arms where I just itch uncontrollably. Its very painful, and usually I accidentally itch it until it bleeds and scabs over. When the spot heal, they leave behind giant, dark brown scars.

What puzzles me though, is that there are no rashes around the infected areas, and I've been using a fragrance free lotion made for dry skin, and that doesnt seem to be help much. I'm not allergic to anything that I know of, and I don't go outside much, and when I do, its to ride to school.

I'm just really concerned that I might spread this around to my family and friends, and I don't want that to happen. Can anyone offer some advice as to what this may be?|||It is psoriasis. It's a skin disease that is not contagious. There are medications for it, see a skin specialist, it will spread.|||could be skin allergies...hives...

try some OTC Claratin for HIVES (different than the allergy one) or some Benadryl.

see an allergist or dermatologist|||agree with barabara- psoriasis.|||If its caused by a fungus, a good probiotic can help (it's the good bacteria in yogurt), if not your body could be lacking healthy oils. Cook with olive oil, eat fish a little more often, or take an oil supplement if you can't modify your diet.|||Hi, this definitely sounds like an allergic skin reaction. You may be experiencing hives. This can be due to an allergic reaction to heat (ex. if it was a hot day), or you may have gotten in contact with something allergic (poison ivy, certain foods, environment). Some people don't know they are allergic to something (like some foods) until they actually eat it.

You can do a lot to relief your skin irritation. I know a website that has a lot of great remedies for that:

Be sure not to scratch hard or else you will get scars that may not go away.|||Sorry, I could throw out some guesses, but the best advice I can give is to see a dermatologist. I have had skin conditions that I thought I knew what they were, but they didn't heal up with medicines at the store so I went and saw a dermatologist and with lab tests got prescribed the correct medication and healed up!|||Could be several different conditions. It's hard to tell without more details. Maybe fungus, hives, or eczema. Use a gentle cleanser, like Cetaphil, and use a good moisturizer: Cetaphil or Eucerin Calming Cream. Whatever it is, see your doctor!|||pityriasis rosea
