Please help?

my boyfriends friend has these two dogs that live in the garden, they have a shed with a big blanket they do not come in the house.

they are old dogs and they have big lumps and tumers and skin rash.

i think i am going to phone the rspca if i do this will the rspca tell the owner who called them?|||No, you can ask to remain anonymous. If everyone worried about having an irresponsible owner come looking for payback, no one would report cases of cruelty or neglect.

Have you voiced your concerns to him about how he is not caring for his dogs? If he was my boyfriend, I would probably confront him directly about it first. If nothing gets resolved, then I would call the ASPCA.

You might want to get a new boyfriend anyway. If he treats his dogs that badly, how is he treating you?|||No, they keep things confidential.|||When you call them make sure they don't divulge the tip information. Most of the time that information is confidential.

Hope this helps

Good luck|||No they won't tell your boyfriends friend! I think it's anonymous anyway, but you can tell them, you want to remain anonymous, and your boyfriends friend won't have any idea, who reported him. I think it's a great thing your doing, caring enough about these dogs, to help them! Thank You!|||If you ask to remain anonymous, they won't tell them who called. Please...just call them. These dogs obvioulsy deserve SO much better. And you will feel much better knowing that you helped to save them.|||No matter how old the dog, they are deserving of vet care and humane treatment. Call the ASPCA in your area or look up WWW.PETFINDER.COM and find a shelter in your area. They will help you find a facility to report this to. What ever agency you contact, they will keep the call confidential. Also, reconsider your relationship with someone who would treat any animal like this....Please, for your own sake.|||You've already had some really good responses to your question here and I agree with most of them. Especially the person giving advice about how your boyfriend will treat you if he treats his dogs this way....But I did want to say that my concern is for the skin rash on these dogs. It may be a normal aging process to see some tumors or lumps in an older dog - or even outside dogs. But the skin rash is not a symptom of age, and can be serious.

If nothing else, offer to help him by taking these dogs for some veterinarian care, or check in with your local Humane Society to see if they have some information on a low-cost facility where you can take the dogs to get checked.

Thank you for caring about these dogs. You don't have to, but you do!!

BoxerLady|||why would you care if he knew you called the rspca, your either a animal lover or your not and if a dog is being mistreated you should report it, if it were me in your position i would tell the boyfriend, "i see how your animals are treated im wondering if 10 years down the road if im gonna be treated like that dog", a way a person treats their animals says alot about them, protect the animals you can always get a new bf|||I'm pretty sure you can stay anymose per request! Double check when or if you call them.

I think if the dogs are not comfortable and in pain calling the authoities would be the proper thing, however a vet from the RSPCA will determine the best.

Good luck|||Every dog has his day. The dogs are old and ready to die anyways, dont waste your time, and lose your friends over this.
