I was just wondering...?

i've been datin my girl for 2 weeks now, and she decided for my bday this sunday, that she would give me a bj. but i recently developed a skin rash on my upper thighs. its not an std or antything bad. Should i be worried about her seeing it? or should i just act like its nothin?|||hahah thats a awsome birthday present!

well i would go to the store and get some Hydrocortezone (i dunno how to spell it)

and take a nice oat meal bath, then rub some mild lotion on it and it will go away.

i would really try to clear it up, you don't want to look dirty. (im not saying you are at all) its just she might look at it and think something.

oor.. she might not even care! just give her a heads up.|||Hope it goes away, because you don't want her catching it either.|||If its still there by the time she gives you a bj..DOnt, not only is it embarrasing for you its embarresing for her.

Grass makes me sooo itchy!?

i was rolling around the grass today, and i think i got really itchy from it. water doesnt help or anything, and now from all the scratching i have bumps! i had skin rash the 3 days ago too. however its still remains bumpy... i dont understand? can u please help.|||It is possible there could have been a pesticide or fertilizer or something to that effect in the grass and you could have been allergic to that! I would try taking some benadryll and if that doesn't help I would go visit the local pharmacist so they could maybe help you more. Also some calamine lotion could help the rash.|||I think most people get reactions from grass. You can use a medicated anti itch lotion like Gold Bond to ease the itch and soothe the rash. If your problem persists, call a doc. And in the meantime...no more rolling in the grass :-)|||Happens to everybody. Maybe it's the fertilizer chemicals.

Need help with weird symptoms?

Hi im 20 yrs old and ive been gettin chest wall tenderness, as well as lower back tenderness and abdominal tenderness. i also get chronic burping and i my armpits and groin used to hurt every now and then but not anymore and some muscle pains sometimes. lately ive been gettin headaches but i doubt that it has anything to do with the other symptoms. i also get skin rash but thats another one that i dont know if it has anything to do with it.|||Some of the symptoms sound like you have an ulcer or some other inflammation in your kidneys. And to some extent your symptoms would indicate heart distress, at least in an older man. I strongly recommend that you see a doctor first thing in the morning. Do not delay.|||you are getting weak...are you allergic to anything to get rash see doctor|||I'm pretty sure it would be a better idea to see a doctor instead of asking serious medical questions on Yahoo! Answers.|||Chronic Hypochondria

Do i have lupus?

i have a skin rash that is on my stomach, arms and back. i was tested for autoimmune, my doc thinks i am negative, however i had a ANA of 1:160, pattern of mixed: homogenous %26amp; speckled, and had an ESR of 4. i'm not sure if these values are good, or should i see a specialist?|||You should see a specialist. Lupus is hard to diagnose. It falls under a larger umbrella of autoimmune disorders. Look up lupus symptoms on www.webmd.com.; this should not take the place of a visit to the specialist but it will give you an idea of what to look for and questions to ask the doctor when you see him.|||See a dermatologist first and consider a rheumatologist next. A person can have a negative ANA and still have lupus. Skin involvement is diagnose by biopsy. There is NO DEFINITIVE lab test for lupus. Your doc "thinks" you are negative? Interesting. In the mean time stay out of the sun, period. Best wishes.|||You will need to see a Rheumatologist. They specialize in Lupus and all arthritis.

Do i have hiv?

i got this skin rash that is ringworm i guess...and i was looking it up on the interent and wondering why all of a sudden i'm sick too i've been coughing for the past 2 weeks and my throat is sore...and i'm getting sick I AM SO SCARED I HAVE hiv because this is all hitting me at once...and i have a lot of the symptoms HELP|||Ringworm rashes have circles on the skin because that is the worm under your skin. Ringowrm is not a symptom of the first stages of HIV. In fact, HIV doesn't really have any symptoms. If it does at all, they will be a mono-like illness that includes a high fever for a long period of time (a day or two), night sweats, slight neuropathy, swollen lymph nodes and being extremely tired. If you have had any of these symptoms and unprotected sex, or used injection drugs at any time in your life, then i strongly suggest you get tested in order to be safe and have sound mind.|||have you had unprotected sex with someone recently. you should get tested anyway, have you had unprotected sex with some one???????|||Get test that will solve one problem|||The only way to know is to go and get tested. Knowing yes or no is much better than worrying.|||The best thing to do is put your mind at rest by having a test.|||Ringworm is a fungus. You should be seen by a doctor before it spreads because it will make your hair fall out. As for the other symptoms - you may have a virus or an allergy. Just go to the doctor and get a diagnosis to put your mind a t ease.|||The only way to calm your fears is to have an HIV blood test. You can buy them in a pharmacy.|||The only way to know is to get tested..And if your this scared then that's what you need to do . Plus it will put your mind at ease Good Luck|||Hi, the best things is to get it tested, i know u heard this a couple of time but thats the best answer. Before u went for a test ask urself the following question:

1. Do u have unprotected sex with any sex worker or someone u just met or of the same sex.

2. Do u have prolonged fewer, diarhhea....

if yes to both get it tested right away....|||This could be a lot of things. The only thing you can do is get tested.|||you won't know unless u get tested. scarlett johanssen gets tested for hiv twice a year.|||Get tested immediately. You shouldn't just let the conditions worsen. See a doctor now.|||Ringworm itches and the rash will have red ring-shaped welts - hence the name. Just need an anti-fungal cream the doc can give you for that. If left untreated, it can spread over your body and be very unpleasant.

Please go to the doc - stress may be causing the rash you have - it's the surest way to ease your mind. Get tested.|||umm duh go to the doctor, do you expect us to take your blood and tell you if you slept with one to many and got aids?

For an Asian male without much hair on their chest...?

I do not have much dark hair on my chest, only light, thin hairs. Is it normal to have small bumps/ ingrown hair looking bumps on your chest. Could this be related to HIV symptoms of skin rash? Or is this a normal thing to have when growning hair on your chest?|||everyone is different. but no it is not hiv, its normal|||LOL! I think you should exfoliate 'cause that can happen from dead skin cells. Get that scrubbing thing we all have in the shower and scrub. If the bump is huge like abnormally then you should go see a doctor. I think it's just dead skin cells trapping the hair. :D|||it's normal. So dont worry bcoz i also have light thin hairs all over my body(-_-").That bumps is not related to hiv.

What is Pityriaras Roesa and where does it come from?.?

this is a skin rash which appears mildly at first then over a period of 10 days it covers your entire body,it is very uncomfortable with constant itch and burning.|||Pityriasis rosea is a rash that occurs most commonly in people between the ages of 10 and 35, but may occur at any age. The rash can last from several weeks to several months. Usually there are no permanent marks as a result of this condition, although some darker-skinned persons may develop long-lasting flat brown spots that eventually fade. It may occur at anytime of year, but pityriasis rosea is most common in the spring and fall.

Signs and Symptoms

Pityriasis rosea usually begins with a large, scaly, pink patch on the chest or back, which is called a "herold" or "mother" patch. It is frequently confused with ringworm, but antifungal creams do not help because it is not a fungus.

Within a week or two, more pink patches appear on the chest, back, arms, and legs. Patches may also occur on the neck, but rarely on the face. The patches are oval and may form a pattern over the back that resembles the outline of a Christmas tree. Sometimes the disease can produce a very severe and widespread skin eruption. About half the patients will have some itching, especially when they become warm. Physical activities like jogging and running, or bathing in hot water, may cause the rash to temporarily worsen or become more obvious. There may be other symptoms including fatigue and aching. The rash usually fades and disappears within six to eight weeks, but can sometimes last much longer.|||I had that not too long ago! I was freaked out at first as well. Don't worry it just looks bad for a couple weeks. I did some research and found that the sun really helps get rid of it. About 15-20 minutes a day in the sun will help get rid of the rash and zap it!!! I didn't have any bad itching or burning that I can recall, i put lotions and stuff on it but the sun is finally what worked.|||The first answer is a very good description. One more point to add. Usually it will have a very distinct pattern across the entire back - that of a Christmas Tree. The sun is the best treatment to dry it up. My son only had it for about 2 weeks and it was gone but he went shirtless in the sun most of the time. He never complains and when asked if it itched he only said a little. I put some Benedryl cream on it and he said that helped. He also said it helped to immediately take a shower after coming in. His physician said Dial soap was best.|||Pityriasis Rosea - Patient UK

Pickle heat?

skin rash|||If you mean prickley heat the cure is simple take anti histamine tablets i.e.piriton,which you can buy over the counter,it is also the best thing for mosquito bites it stops the itching and inflammation.|||It's called "prickly heat" (also called miliaria)

What's your question?

Here's some info on it:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miliaria|||You mean prickly heat I think , so whats the question here then? do you want ways to cure it?|||I think youll find its prickly heat

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prickly_hea...|||I think you mean prickly heat. Prickly heat (miliaria rubra) is a type of heat rash that lasts. Here the pores of the sweat glands get plugged, resulting in tiny pink bumps or even water blisters. These bumps tend to show up on covered parts of the skin, especially where there is friction from clothing. The forehead (under caps or visors), body folds, the upper back and chest, and the arms are the most common locations. Prickly heat is most common when it is hot and humid, but it can also occur in overdressed infants even during the winter. Applying oils and ointments makes prickly heat more likely (and take longer to clear up). Often prickly heat itches, and older children describe a 'prickly' sensation. The rash can look quite similar to one caused by infected hair follicles (folliculitis), but if you look at the prickly heat bumps with a magnifying glass, no hair follicles will be seen. I like using Stri-Dex Acne Medicated Sensitive Skin Pads; the salicylic acid helps to unplug the pores. Hydrocortisone cream (not ointment) can help with itching. Sometimes antihistamines are needed for the itching (and sleep). If the rash is infected, antibiotics may also be needed. With treatment, prickly heat should disappear within 2 or 3 days.

I am sick with Lupus and need help! Can anyone answer my questions? I would like to find someone to talk to!?

I have been sick afflicted with a mystery illness since I was 13. By the time I was 18, I had a heart problem, liver disease, a ruptured Gallbladder and Peritonitis (infected abdominal cavity) from which I almost died. I am now 23. For the past three years I have had skin rash, mouth sores, nausea, bad joint pain in my knees and shoulders, fevers, tremors and left-side arm/hand weakeness. In the past year I was in the ER for four bouts of Pleurisy, fluid on the heart and Pnemonia. My doctor told me I had Fibromyalgia and Lupus. Now they are suspecting MS (Multiple Sclerosis) as well. I am depressed and I can't cry anymore. I can't work and I am tired all the time. I take Vicodon, Percocet, Promethazine and Naprosyn. I still don't feel well and I am suicidal. I have a good support system but I am tired of being sick. I want to feel good and be young. I want the opportunity to have children and get married. I have a wonderful fiance and he loves me. Can someone give me advice? Hope?|||Lupus is a thief that steals energy and health, hopes and dreams, and plans for the future. We do get sick and tired of being sick and tired. And I, too, have been suicidal as a result of my lupus losses. I'm not that way now. One of the hardest things is the loss of control. But you do have some control. I am not talking about the power of positive thinking stuff or new age think yourself healthy. I am talking about some positive things you can do. So here is the short list. Hope it helps.

Stay out of the sun.

Learn to handle stress. Meditate. Do small amounts of moderate exercise like walking.

Strive for a healthy diet. With each thing you choose to eat ask yourself if it creates health or destroys it.

Journal. Write for 20 minutes a day every day.

Learn all you can about your medical condition.

Do some kind of spiritual or inspirational reading in the morning and at night.

Do good for others. It improves the world AND the functioning of your immune system. What can you do? Write a letter, make a phone call, listen.

Mild exercise reduces pain and increases energy.

Set reasonable small goals.

Change your thinking. You can't control what is happening but you can control your reaction to it.

Make a list of how much of you still DOES work.

Give thanks for small things-hot water, electricity, a roof over your head, food in your belly, a bed in which to sleep. Half the world does not have these things.

Get professional counseling. A good way to find the right counselor is to call an oncology clinic. Their counselors understand our losses.

Go to www.lupus.org and click on the take action link to email your senators and congressional rep asking them to cosponsor the lupus REACH amendment.

Get others to email them too.

Learn to be fully here in the present moment, instead of in your head thinking about the lupus. Thich Naht Han is a good author to start with. Try Miracle of Mindfulness or Peace Is Every Step.

Resolve to comply with your treatment regimen.

Join a support group. You might get support AND you might be the one to give it. Find support groups at www.lupus.org|||"Where there is life the is hope." Terri Schiavo

I would say I know what you are going through but I don't. What I can say is that at times in my life I have been severely depressed and suicidal as a result.

What I can also say is that I am glad to still be alive. Since these times I have experienced a lot of things, many of which made life worth while many times over.

As for the practicalities of your condition I cannot guarantee results but it seems the modern pharmaceuticals have not provided much relief. In my experience pharmaceuticals can actual make things worse. I suggest reading up on alternative therapies including nutrition, meditation, and body work.

One of the most powerful meditations you can do is the meditation of loving kindness. It entails visualizing someone you love, someone you have issue with, and yourself as happy healthy and enlightened. The basic principle is that energy follows thought. If you can do this in a lucid way it will influence the aforementioned benefits onto all parties.

Finally I believe your spiritual life can be of help. I know it is difficult to believe in a benevolent higher power and suffer the way you do, but I believe having a relationship with God can not only be soothing, but be enlightening at times.

I sincerely wish you alleviation from any needless suffering. I empathize that you are going through what you are. Just keep in mind all things in life change, and in time I believe you will find pockets of relief and hopefully long term solutions.|||You are in bad shape! Go to Wal-Mart and by a gallon of Aloe-Vera Juice and drink it religiously. Mix with grape juice to make it taste good. It will strengthen your immune system!|||Have you seen a doctor yet??

(actually, that was a dumb question)

I'm not quite sure what to do, but that's extremely serious. If the doctor tries to brush it off, you shouldn't agree. I'm really bad with medical stuff. There should be someone out there who can help, though.

Best of luck to you, and I'll be praying for you.

Please hang in there...I do not have Lupus, but have had a number of issues that have plagued me for years. I know the whole downward spiral you feel of never feeling well, what use am I, I have no life, etc.

First of all, I am happy that you have a wonderful fiance. That will help you know that you are loved. I pray that he is supportive and understanding. Next, there are plenty of support groups on line. You can try:

http://www.wehavelupus.com/

http://www.lupus.org/support/onlinesuppo...

http://www.mdjunction.com/lupus

If you do not care for these, do a search for "lupus online support groups. From there, I chose the above three. I hope you find one that you like.

I have celiac disease (intolerance to wheat rye and barley, extremely long list of foods I cannot eat!) and I belong to three online support groups. I find them very helpful.

Please, do not give up. Remember your dreams, that will get you through. Keep a list of all the things that you want out of life, even make a dream poster where you cut out pictures from magazines, like an ocean view house, babies, places you want to travel, and of course a picture of your fiance. Life is worth it, place your poster where you can see it when you wake up and when you go to sleep, or when you are bedridden for the day out of pain you can lie on your side and stare at it.

Another thing, keep a "grateful journal". Every time you are down, write down all of the things you are grateful for and even re-read things you wrote before when you can't seem to write anything at all.

I pray that things will turn the corner for you. Keep your mind positive, that is half the battle.

Best wishes and take care!|||I am sorry you are going through all of that. I have Lupus and been having it for years and i have been through alot. I have almost died a few times, but i made it and you will too. Don't give up hope. There are several sites you can go too. Lupus Foundation of America. or Lupus.com.. Or you can email me and i would be glad to talk to you. Take care....|||Hi there,

I just like to let you know that you aren't alone in this situation, I also have SLE %26amp; I got it when I was young, so it was rather unusual.

For the past years It has been difficult due to the flare up of lupus I almost die %26amp; I lost my kidneys but I had my transplant. I'm also only 24, just want to let you know that never give up, and don't stop believing that some day everything will be better.

Just stay positive, I know it is difficult do so but Lupus is all about Mind Power, if you can take control of what you are going through and knowing what you are up against in whatever situations you are in. Nothing is impossible if you have faith %26amp; hope in yourself.

No one else can make things better for you but only yourself, it is our choice to make the worse situations a better place and future.

In times, I reminded myself that I have a second chance of life, so I attend to live life to the fullest, I hope you do so too.

Don't give up, take care.|||I am so sorry that you are feeling so ill. When I finally found out what was wrong with me, I was actually glad they found something. But it took a blood clot blocking off my left lung and left pulmonary tree before my MD would admit I had a problem. Since that day, I've had alot of ups and downs. Most of the time I try to think about the things that I can still do instead of what I can't do anymore. I'm not saying that I have that positive attitude everyday. But I try. And I know God holds my future. How ever short or long it may be. Just always remember, you didn't do anything to get this disease. It's not a punishment from God. We simply live in mortal bodys that get sick. I pray every morning when I get up. Sometimes that prayer changes a little. On good days I pray, Lord, thank you for getting me up this morning. On my bad days, Lord, please HELP me get up this morning. I hope I've helped some. It's not easy, but it gets real bad when you think your in this alone. Honey, your not. email me anytime you need to talk. God's Blessings. Martha from KY

hml@newwavecomm.net|||Hi Honey, I have also had Lupus since about 13, sadly it was the late 70's and early 80's, they didnt know much. I was having seizures, I was ill a lot, and had mystery symptoms that would come and go. I'm almost 40 now. Like you I was in and out of hospitals a lot, at times I still am. But went on to have 2 healthy , and as they hit their teens typical children. I havent had pleurisy, had mild pnemonia 1x, have dealt with and beat fibro, been tested for MS, beat deppression, been married about 16 years, rather happily, but I can't work. Though I did finsih college and worked through my late 20's. Im now almost 40.

I do understand being sick and tired, of being sick and tired, and have felt suicidal. We do not always have the easiest life do we. I own a yahoo support group, one of our younger girls, is actually pregnant right now. It isnt an easy pregnancy, but she's doing it, we have a few teens or young adults, and they do the best they can. They post sometimes, but their moms are very active, and then they hook their daughters up with the younger ones, so we kind of break off. I know a few of the girls well. I was one of the girls. Its scary, frustrating, and seems to be life ending.

About the Lupus/MS, Ive been tested for MS 3 times in 20+ years. It always turns out that its the Lupus Central nervous system flare action acting up. I also have liver issues, in the form of autoimmune Hepatitis, from the Lupus. It has gotten out of control, but I have a good rhuemotologist, and we always seem to get it under control with medication, and even once with cytoxin, which was not so pleasent, but worked.

But there is hope. While at 40, Im slowed, I have a happy marrige, 2 children, a 21 yr old, and a 13 yr old. I do spend the hot summer months a bit down, but unless I hit a big flare, I fight and have been bouncing back, and getting emotionally stronger since 13. So i know it can be done. My advice, never give up hope, fate or faith, new strides are made more and more often. Medicine is getting better. Just do what the docs tell you, find support outisde your family, you have a man who loves you.... let him. If need be let the dr give you an antideppresent, many in our group are on them, its so commen in lupus. But never give up hope sweetie. I never did, and thats how I am where I am today.

Good Luck, and peace of mind

Vitex also normalizes excessive prolactin, promoting fertility.

Embarassment at dermatologist office! Don't know what to do.?

I have never seen a female doctor before my male dermatologist was on vacation and a woman was filling in. I had an genital skin rash. She asked me to stand up and drop my pants. She pulled up a stool and began to examine my penis at eye level to her. The feeling of a woman touching me caused an immediate erection. I appologized and she said it was normal. She continued the examine and pulled my foreskin back and i couldn't control it and ejaculated! I have never in my life been so embarassed! It went all over her hand, arm and her neck. I appologized repeatedly as she quickly turned grabbed some paper towel and left the exam room. A nurse came a few moments later handed me a damp paper towel and told me to clean up and get dressed as she explained my medication.

What should it do? This can't be normal?

I have to see her for another visit next week, do you think she was mad?|||i feel bad for you bro. but you're probly not the only guy who would. its not uncommon for a male to ejaculate while his penis is being handled by a woman at eye level.|||damn, that some funny crap right there. She has had this happen to her more times than she can count. She says it's embarrassing for both her and her patients but she is use to it. Don't worry, you will turn red but try to control yourself a little better and if you feel like it's going to happen again, move back or put your hand there to stop it from getting on her!|||I'd go to a different Dr. If it's not serious enough that you have to keep the apointment.

People will always be rude pigs. If you are looking for a way to help with the breakouts, my friend tans. Whether in the sun or tanning bed it seems to help it to subside. Now he's itching his ears quite a bit and shaking his head a lot, I checked his ears out and I don't see any mites or sores at all but there is a little "crusty" stuff on them. I'm wondering if this could be a reaction to his medication? Should I let him finish the antibiotics or just stop them and take a trip back to the vet ASAP? He doesnt have any other symptoms and seems totally fine other than the problem with his ears, so I have no idea what this is from or if its from his medication at all. If any of you have had this problem with your dog (especially if s/he was on Simplicef) please I appreciate any feedback. Thanks|||my dog was having the same affect with simplicef in quit giving my dog the meds for good

cost alot of money $120.00 for 100 tabets

Animal safety studies: well tolerated at up to 40x normal daily oral dose.

In animal safety studies, SIMPLICEF (cefpodoxime proxetil) was well tolerated at up to 40x the normal daily oral dose for 13 weeks in adult dogs and 28 days in puppies (18-23 days of age).

Safety has been demonstrated in dogs for up to six months of daily therapy.

but after all that we fianly found out from the second trip to the vet he had mites real bad in was bleeding from his ear cause of the infection in well we got it taken care of now rusty does not itch are scratch his ears any more|||Maybe it's from Simplicef. Consult a vet tech. Or you can just treat your dog with GOOD food. If that doesn't work, really consult to a vet.|||It could be ear infections. I know that he is on antibiotics, but some of them only work for certain things just like human meds. My Doberman had a few of them and he would still keep getting them if i didn't clean them all the time. I took him to the vet and he showed me how to clean them and gave me stuff to do it with and said to figure out how often i have to do it. It took a while to figure out how often he needed them cleaned i started every week and then i moved to every 1 1/2 weeks and so on, but now i know that it is around every 3 weeks. I could probably do it once a month, but then he may end up with another ear infection and i don't want to take that chance. I would take him to a vet just to make sure. If it does turn out to be just an ear infection it may not sound serious, but you know how you fill when you have an ear infection.

edit: I forgot to say what my dog does when he gets them. He scratches at his ear or ears depending on if it went to both ears. Then he would shake his head often. It smells really bad so you can check to see if it smells. The vet showed me that. Also sometimes you can see the wax (dark brown almost black) on the inside of his ear. He also dug at it so much (at night when i was sleeping) that he had scabs on the inside of his ear. Their ears get really itchy when they get ear infections.|||The symptoms u describe certainly sound like ear mites, he may need ear medication (drops or ointment) check with ur vet. Do not use OTC medications unless ok`d by the vet. as those can further his skin irritations.|||That's possible. He may have an ear infection too. It could be a yeast infection in his ears. Antibiotics can cause yeast infections in animals, just like they can in humans. I know this sounds silly, but it's true. My dog has gotten a yeast infection in his ears before. You need to take him to the vet and get medication to take care of the infection.|||Look up Simplicef on the web and see the side affects, if you cannot find them give your vet a call, no need to pay an office visit for a possible side effect.

Actually this is a good chance to test out your vet and find their priorities and knowledge. Look it up and with the knowledge in hand call them.

But don't stop the Rx, finish it, check it out first and only stop it on your vets order.

Personally I don't think Simpliicf has any terminal side effects

I like to crap my pants....is that wrong?

I like to crap my pants, especially at the public park. Whenever it's runny, i reach down and grab a handful. Then I rub the runny content on my dog. Will it give him a skin rash? And do you think people find that offensive? I'm serious I'm not kidding so please no joking around. And yes, I am from america...and I do not take meds, and I'm not mentally retared. I'm a normal person who loves her poo.|||Nasty! you need to see a doctor so you can take meds. Why take out your anger on your dog.|||Poo love. Nice. Doctors or people with diabetes only please?

I think i might have childhood diabetes. I am 15 years old and weigh 93 pounds. Recently during my peried i have been pasing out. I eat alot of sweets. also between cycles i have been getting dizy if a meal is missed or delayed. I am realy scard. Please help me.

P.S. I also have a skin rash on my arms and face.|||I did not find out i was diabetic until I was 15. I did not have symtoms before that at all. You should have your doctor check it out. It's not as scary as it sounds. Anyone can get diabetes...it is no longer just if you have a relative...|||First, do not panic. To diagnose diabetes there has to be two different fasting blood tests to determine your blood sugars. Some of the signs of diabetes are frequent urination, feeling like you are always thirsty, and feeling like you are always hungry, even after eating.

Passing out during your cycle could be from the combination of blood loss (if it is heavy) and not eating. Usually not eating can cause hypoglycemia, but it doesn't necessarily mean that it is diabetes. Besides your weight isn't extreme for your age and childhood diabetes would be diagnosed well before the age of 15.

My advice, if you are really worried, talk to your parents and have them take you to your doctor. There are simple blood tests that can be done to determine whether or not this is diabetes.|||-Frequent urination

-Excessive thirst

-Extreme hunger

-Unusual weight loss

-Increased fatigue

-Irritability

-Blurry vision

I was just diagnosed in august, that list pretty much explains it all. eating alot of sweets doesn't cause diabetes, but iunno about the other stuff. go to ur doctor cuz its probably somethin else.|||do u have a 1st degree relative who has diabetes? if no, most probably u dont have it. i mean, it is a far-fetched idea. u dont ge diabetes by eating a lot of sweets. eating a lot of sweets can only aggravate your diabetes, but not the other way around.

getting dizzy if a meal is dealyed or missed is normal. because of that reason.

skin rashes on face (on the cheeks?) u might have SLE.

it is best to consult your doctor. your history, PE, and laboratory tests will confirm it. dont panic. it is best that we know now, than knowing it later. for your ease of mind also. goodluck! get well soon!|||Rash has nothing to do with diabetes either type 1 or type 2.

Eating lots of sugar doesn't cause diabetes!! It is also not a sign of diabetes.

Getting dizzy during your periods is something else. Perhaps you are iron deficient and need to eat lots more things like spinach.

Childhood diabetes, aka type 1 or juvenile diabetes is caused by a disease that destroys the pancreas ability to produce insulin.

Contrary to popular opinion JD does not have an age limit for people getting it!! It "usually" is diagnosed at a fairly young age but even old people can get type 1.

Also another popular myth is that children don't get type 2 diabetes. Any one of any age can get it. More and more teenagers are being diagnosed with type 2.

Don't be scared or worried!! Just go talk to your mother honestly and tell her how you have been feeling. If she is a good mother she will listen to you and find out what is the reason why you are feeling as you do.

Love from a Grandma|||If you are diabetic, eating lots of sugar can cause major problems.|||you need to go to the doctor...... sugar causes yeast....... juvinal dieabetic is different the adult...... or typeII go to the doc|||never mind all you said normally may happen to men not woman passing the period like the moon wax and wanes the human being is so this is not diabetes at all just drink a lot of water and eat fresh fruits and veg or take multi-vitamins that is all|||i think you have low sugar. not Hs. because you say you feel dizzy it might be you are not consuming the right food but the best thing is to tell your Doctor. as soon as possible|||well there are sooo many things that could be low blood pressure to high. it could be more things than sugar. you need to get to doctor and have tests run so that you are not scared it could be something very small and if its something to take care of do it and then you won't have to worry any more. take care.|||If you are scared, talk with your parents about seeing your doctor for blood tests to check your blood glucose level. Your getting dizzy when you miss a meal could be caused by low blood sugar. Your weight or your iron level could cause the passing out during your period. The rash may or may not be related in any way. Sometimes my daughter gets a mild break out around her mouth when her blood sugar has been high frequently.

Why do I have all these problems?

I am a neurotic perfectionist and freak out over absolutely everything, and sometimes I am, like, addicted to procrastination and am extremely lazy. I am a hypochondriac, or maybe I actually have Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome, a Giant Cell Tumor under my toe, some sort of rare skin rash on my neck that has been there for months, Vocal Cord Dysfunction, Bipolar Disorder, stress fractures in my shins, Anxiety Disorder, Insectophobia and Arachnophobia, possibly Hammer Toe in my pinky toe, something else that causes random pains in, like, my lungs and heart occasionally, and a sinus-infection-like headache that keeps coming back for about 3 minutes then disappears for a day, sometimes more, sometimes less, but that wasn't cured by the antibiotics that I took (amoxicillin for 10 days). Also, I can't walk into my closet, the bathroom, another closet, or my bedroom at night without turning on the lights and looking around first. Do I need a psychologist? I can't tell my parents (anxiety).|||Alright, first it sounds like you have OCD, depression, and borderline personality disorder. Look those things up on webmd.

What makes you feel lazy is your depression, what makes you feel sick and work against yourself is the borderline personality disorder (not bi-polar), and finally what makes you neurotic is your OCD. You probably also have anxiety due to your constant struggle with yourself.

As far as the headache is concerned, its most likely allergies. Allergy headaches do that.

Please talk to your parents, if they are good parents then they will get you the help you need.|||First of all honey, calm down! I would suggest talking to a therapist or psychologist. They can explain what's going on and prescribe medication if they feel you need it. If you are in school, you could talk to a therepist there. You could also go to your family doctor and have him refer you. The main thing is you need to talk to someone. I hope everything works out for you! God bless!|||Hypochondriac?

u need to quit focusing on whats wrong with u and get out there and have a great time.

i could have all of those problems.

i think that u are shoving all of these problems onto yourself.

It isn't fair, and you're not alone in being unlucky in these things.

Next time you're seeing a doctor, talk to them about your anxiety and bipolar stuff and see if you can't get treated for it if you aren't already. Ask them to refer you to a councilor if you feel it's necesssary.

Yes, seeking help would be good.|||You need to talk to someone- family, friend, school counselor (if you're in school), someone at your church/synagogue/whatever.

If you don't feel comfortable talking to your parents- talk to your family doctor- he/she can help determine if you genuinely suffer from a physical health problem, then help you decide if you need a therapist or psychologist.|||Since I'm not a doctor, I'm not going to try to offer medical advice. But I think you should tell your parents about your problem. If you can't tell your parents than you should talk to a guidance councillor at school. But if school's is out wherever you live (it is here), than you should go to the hospital or a walk-in clinic. If you live in America than I'm not sure how that works because I think you have to pay for medical care, maybe an American could clarify that for me. But go anyways cause I doubt they'd be like go away unless you bring cash. Anyway, It's not healthy to think you're sick all the time. That can actually make you sick. But don't worry, there's lots of people that want to help you.

Good luck!|||I don't like to be rude, but as well as all the problems you mention, I found you quite boring. I fell asleep half way through your question and when I woke up, you were still asking it.

I hope someone else can help you.

Worst part is that I could pick one up and restart right now, those bastards are addictive as hell. My heart has gotten much better, the cancer still looms, do it before its too late! I am only 34 years old and have major health issues from these stupid things. I have been quit for almost two years, but evertime i smell one, I still wanna drag! GOOD LUCK! I hope you can do it!|||Smoking is haraam in Islam

Powerful arguments based on the Quran and Sunnah from Dr. Ibrahim B. Syed

Cigarette smoking is the most widespread example of drug dependence in the United States and in all the Islamic countries as well. The U.S. Surgeon General's Office considers cigarette smoking to America's worst drug addiction problem. Medical investigations show that cigarette smoking is a major factor in the development of many cases of cancer, heart trouble, chronic lung and respiratory disease and other ailments. Smoking causes more illness and death than all other drugs. Cigarette smoking in pregnant women results in deleterious health effects on their newborn children. These findings and the revelations in the Holy Qur'an clearly prohibit smoking of tobacco by Muslims. Hence smoking is unlawful in Islam.

Smoking and Health Effects

It is very well known that cigarette smoking is the most widespread example of drug dependence in the United States. A pamphlet released by the U.S. Surgeon General's Office entitled "Why People Smoke Cigarettes" calls cigarette smoking America's worst drug addiction problem. It involves addiction to the drug nicotine in tobacco and possible other tobacco substances.

An authoritative British report (1) stated that tobacco smoking is a form of drug dependence different from but no less strong than that of other addictive drugs—the most stable and well-adjusted person will, if he smokes at all, almost inevitably become dependent on the habit.

An Australian government report of 1977 called Drug Problems in Australia - An Intoxicated Society (2), says, "It is important to recognize that smoking is a form of drug dependence, but one with especially insidious characteristics."

Like many other drugs, the chemicals in cigarette affect the chemistry of the brain and nervous system and create dependence and lead to compulsive use.

More than 56 million Americans and multiple scores of millions more in other nations, including Islamic nations (3) are hooked on cigarettes in the same way as caffeine addicts are hooked on caffeine. A major reason why sales continue at high levels despite widespread public knowledge about the health hazards is the addictive nature of cigarettes.

Most people start smoking just to conform to peer or social pressures. They get a feeling of "grown up." They find smoking (nicotine) at first acts as a stimulant. Later they find they need to smoke as a tranquilizer. These smokers develop a level of tolerance and bodily adjustment to nicotine. If this level of nicotine is not maintained in their blood, they will experience uncomfortable physical-psychological dependence problems. These uncomfortable feelings are classic drug withdrawal symptoms. Addictive drugs are psychoactive which create brain and nervous system dependence and lead to compulsive use. Abrupt discontinuation leads to physiological and psychological distress. The withdrawal symptoms are headache, stomach discomfort, nervousness, irritability, sweating, change in heart and blood pressure and lower excretion of some hormones affecting the nervous system (4).

The former U.S. Surgeon General, C. Everett Coop, says, "Cigarette smoking is clearly identified as the chief preventable cause of death (340,000 deaths per year in U.S.A.). In our society it is a major factor in the development of many cases of cancer, heart trouble, chronic lung and respiratory diseases and other ailments. Smoking causes more illnesses and death than all the other drugs."(5)

Smoking and Islam

In Islam cleanliness and hygiene are emphasized to the extent that it has been considered a part of Iman (faith). It is very well known that a smoker's mouth is unclean and foul smelling "like a cigarette ash-tray." In the Quran, God says:

"And forbid them what is bad." - Surah Al-'Araf, 7:157

"0 ye who believe! Intoxicants and gambling are an abomination of Satan's handiwork. Eschew such abominations that ye may prosper." - Surah Al Ma'idah, 5:93

The word intoxicant has three meanings (6):

(1) To induce, especially the effect of ingested alcohol.

(2) To stimulate or excite.

(3) To poison.

The latter two meanings are very valid and applicable to nicotine.

Smoking is nothing but a form of slow suicide. The Qur'an says:

"And slay not the life which God hath forbidden..." - Surah, Al-Isra, 17:33

"And make not your own hands contribute to your destruction." - Surah, Al-Baqara, 2:195

"Nor kill or destroy yourselves for verily God hath been to you most Merciful." Surah, An-Nisa, 4:29

Prophet Mohammed has said:

"Nor be hurt or injure others." It is scientifically proven that the exhaled smoke of the smoker is hazardous to non-smokers around him.

The amount of money a smoker spends on cigarette smoking in a period of 30 years is calculated to be Two Hundred Thousand Dollars or more. All this money is simply wasted (not including the money spent on smoker's health care).

God says:

"But squander not your wealth in the manner of a spend thrift, verily spendthrifts are brothers of evils." - Surah, Al-Isra, 17:26, 27

The body is polluted by smoking. Hence smokers cannot pray until they have cleansed themselves. According to the Qur'an:

"0 ye who believe! Draw not near unto prayer when you are drunken, till ye know that which ye utter, nor when you are polluted save when journeying upon the road, till you have bathed." - Surah, An-Nisa, 4:43

The Christians consider the human body to be a sacred trust given to man by God because it contains the spirit breathed into it by God. Even the Qur'an says

"So, when I have made him and have breathed unto him of My spirit, do ye fall down, prostrating yourselves unto him." - Surah, Al-Hijr, 15:29.

Hence the physical body should not be polluted or injured or destroyed in any way by smoking or taking of alcohol or any type of habit-forming drugs.

Conclusion

For the foregoing reasons and for reasons considered elsewhere, smoking is Haram or unlawful in Islam, hence smoking should be discouraged and finally banned in all Islamic countries.

All smoking Muslims should give up this unhealthy and un-Islamic activity. The best way to give it up is to stop all smoking completely. Tapering off on the amount one smokes does not work for most people. It is not easy to quit suddenly, but it is presently the most successful way. There are many ways and techniques available for a serious minded person to give up smoking. For the Muslims who sincerely practice Islam and who submit themselves to the Will of God, this should not be a difficult task.

--------------------------------------...|||Here are 2 techniques I have seen to work (not personally, sorry, don't smoke, but colleagues)

1. - the Nicorette inhalator. Its the same idea as a patch, but it seems to work better because the hand-to-mouth action is used. Often people find that it is the habit of smoking and NOT the nicotine which they are the most addicted to.

2. - Keep one cigarette in your packet. It is your last one. You may only smoke it at a time when you will never need it more.

This seems to work because there isn't the panic feeling with the "oh crap I've run out" - more a "do I really want to smoke my last cigarette now? I'll wait a bit....."

Good luck :) You can do it!

It worked for me I started drinking dasani when i had urges and now im addicted to that!|||it's mind over matter. resolve and reward. quit smoking and treat yourself out to an ice cream cone with a friend. this will confirm your quiting with a witness, giving you necessary strength to continue through their praise. the ice cream will make you feel good about making the proper decision. simply invite or go over a friends house, throw away your cigs and lighter, and say lets go get an ice cream cone to celebrate. then do it and forget about the past you have become anew at the first lick.

What is it?!?

My boobs are really sore and I'm really grouchy. I was thinking that maybe it was just the medicine vitex im taking but im really not sure cause its not a side effect? anyone else have any symptoms like this when they were taking it? I dont know if its the medicine or what? but its making me nuts...My husband cannot stand me either haha!

this is whats listed for vitex?

Vitex does not contain natural hormones. It appears to increase progesterone by stimulating luteinizing hormone release from the pituitary gland. Vitex also normalizes excessive prolactin, promoting fertility.

Female infertility

PMS, especially breast tenderness, cramping, and headaches

Acne, especially if it is related to the menstrual cycle

Fibrocystic breast disease

Heavy menstruation

Side effects are rare. Occasionally, women experience mild digestive upset or minor skin rash. Vitex is not recommended during pregnancy|||side effects listed are always the most common ones people get. your medicine may be in fact causing your achy boobs. just because it's not listed, doesnt mean you don't react to it. different medicines have different side effects on different people. we're not all alike!

Psoriasis cure?

I have had it for years , have tried many medications with mixed results , mostly they did not work . A few days ago I spilled some WD40 on it by accident , since then it is drying up , going away . There is no skin rash , no reaction to it at all .

Comments ?|||my wife has it on her scalp,,quite a large patch of it. maybe we will try a small spot of it with WD40 and hope for the best...thx..hope it does the trick...hope yours stays away..you might be on to something there...|||Well you may have found a new cure. What a scream.

The one thing that will help Psoriasis is oil and creams that add moisture to your skin. Any beeswax product is excellent.

You can find these in massage wax's.

I wonder if WD40 has any beeswax in it. LOL.

Also keep your liver clean- do a liver cleanse.

Below is the best ones I know and easy peasy. Give it

a go and you will also look and feel better

I have very sensitive underarms...my armpits get irritated easily when I shave. Help?

So, for years now I have been dealing with my armpits being easily irritated. I had a skin rash on my arms, underarms and stomach about 8 years ago, and since then my underarms suck! I shave them about once a week or 2 weeks depending. I usually dont wear shirts without sleeves because I am embaressed. I can only use one kind of deoderant, because all the other ones I have tried irritate. The same goes with the razor I use, it has to be a Schick disposable...any suggestions out there? I would love to wear tank tops more often.|||Shave your underarms the night before you put deodorant on so they won't be freshly shaven skin. Use deodorants for sensitive skin as well and try the razors that have the protective gel stuff on the head of it which will not irritate as much when you are shaving. Also, try using some kind of shaving gel when shaving instead of soap which could be irritating in itself.. Good luck!|||Your most welcome! I hope one of my suggestions really does it for ya!! Good Luck! Report It
|||I use a natural stone from GNC you wet it and apply under your arms. I generally rub my armpit about 10 times with the stone. It has no smell or residue to leave behind. What i have noticed it that when i shave my armpits i now have no deodorant built up that the razor will drag across. I can shave my armpits with plain water if i choose to. This stone cost $1.99 from GNC and will last you well over 6 months. Good luck

Girls only! Bumps near vaginal opening ...?

Just yesterday I felt a very small cluster of bumps right between my vaginal and anal opening ... I am assuming I would have noticed this before yesterday, but I really do not know how long they've been there. I looked at them in the mirror and it just looked like a very small and bumpy skin rash.

It doesn't hurt, itch or anything ... it's just there. I just finished my period a few days ago. My periods are always right on time so I don't have any menstrual irregularity. I am sexually active with one guy and I am on the Pill (we do not use condoms). I have had very few sexual partners ... 3 to be exact and I am 30.

Anyone have this issue before ... any advice on what this could be? Links if you got them would be great.

Thanks so much, girls!|||Stay calm! There are many valid ideas about STI's and HPV here, and honestly that would be my immediate fear if I were in your shoes.

However, nobody on yahoo answers is going to be able to help you. Go see a gyn doctor. They'll be able to run blood tests and swab the area, and tell you 100% what it is.|||From what I suspect, it is genital warts or HPV. If you are sexually active even the slightest, you have a chance that he, your partner, is carrying an STD (sexually transmitted disease) or STI (sexually transmitted infection). You will still contract an STD or STI even if you are the Pill, condoms, etc or even if you have oral, anal, or vaginal sex. Even if you are gay, or lesbian, there is a chance you will get an STD or STI. Check with your partners and get a Pap test at the doctors. Left untreated, this can lead to infertility (if you want children later on)

And though it may itch, it can not itch as well. Usually, STDs/STIs go without symptoms of any sort. And if your warts go away and come back, that's also very normal.

I'm 14, and all I have to say is, Health class helps a lot. xD|||I know exactly what your talking about!!!!!To bad I'm not qualified to answer under your criteria though.Since I'm a guy I cant give you the answer.I hope after it gets worse and you go to the doctor that the doctor is a girl and not a guy.To bad for you good bye.|||Being a biologist, I can honestly say that no one can say for certain without seeking medical advice. It certainly doesn't sound like HPV from first impression...since inflammation seems to be absent, but there's no way to tell for certain. Such 'bumps' could be from several causes such as: a mild reaction to soaps, perfumes, underwear (especially if not 100% cotton), to shaving or waxing if you do so there, from pubic hairs pulling against your clothing, from little ventilation (that's right, even your crotch requires breathing), from reaction to hygiene products...the list is endless...and very non-worrisome. If the bumps are very prominent, definitely get them checked out, but as a rule of thumb, if it doesn't itch, burn, or smell awkward, it's MOST probably not a bacterial, fungal, or viral infection. For certainty...see your doctor.|||HPV

What can i do to stop an eczema outbreak?

eczema- skin rash that inflames with body heat or sweat.

i need something to treat infected areas and prevent future outbreaks.|||Use cortizone. You can find it at Wal Mart. NEVER LOTION B/C IT BURNS!!!|||i have had it for years on my eyelids and hands. it comes and goes, but i found that washing with noxema morning and night helps. also if you can go to the dermatologist and get some prescription cream, put it on after the noxema and then cover with vaseline to keep it there.|||I have hand eczema..it's only on my fingers. My dermatologist told me to use Neutrogena cream the Norwegian formula..it's a really thick cream. It works great. I haven't had any outbreaks...yet. =)

What is the best oral treatment for syphilis in its last (third) stage, am 40 years.?

I have had lab test but all come out negative yet i have craks in between my toes. I also often get itchy skin rash among the toes that re cracked. I was managed on Erythromycin for 14 days but to no avail. Please i need an oral effective cure for syphilis if this is the disease am suffering from.|||Please get tests and get an second opinion if they will help . benzathine penicillin G or aqueous procaine penicillin G injections. Individuals who have severe allergic reactions to penicillin (e.g., anaphylaxis) may be effectively treated with oral tetracyclines.

Oral Azithromycin given as a single dose of 2g has been used successfully to treat syphilis in a pilot study of 328 patients in Tanzania (Riedner 2005), but resistance to azithromycin has been reported in the US and elsewhere, which makes it doubtful that this treatment will become widespread in the US.

Syphilis can be treated with penicillin or other antibiotics. Statistically, treatment with a course of pills is dramatically less effective than other treatments, because patients tend not to complete the course. The oldest, and still most effective, method is to inject benzathine penicillin into each buttock (procaine is added to make the pain bearable); the dose must be given half in each buttock because the amount given would be too painful if given in a single injection. An alternative treatment is to administer several tablets of azithromycin orally (which has a long duration of action) under observation. This latter course, however, may be falling on hard times, as strains of syphilis resistant to azithromycin have developed and may account for 10% of cases in some areas in 2004. Other treatments are less effective as the patient is required to take pills several times a day.

If not treated, syphilis can cause serious effects such as damage to the nervous system, heart, or brain. Untreated sypStages of syphilis

Different manifestations occur at each stage of the disease.

[edit]

Primary syphilis

Chancres on penis due to primary syphilitic infectionPrimary syphilis is manifested after an incubation period of 10-90 days (the average is 21 days) with a primary sore. During the initial incubation period, individuals are asymptomatic. The sore, called a chancre, is a firm, painless skin ulceration localized at the point of initial exposure to the bacterium, often on the penis, vagina or rectum. Local lymph node swelling can occur. The primary lesion may persist for 4 to 6 weeks and then heal spontaneously.

[edit]

Secondary syphilis

Secondary syphilis manifested on labiaSecondary syphilis is characterized by a skin rash that appears 1-6 months (commonly 6 to 8 weeks) after the primary infection. This is a symmetrical reddish-pink non-itchy rash on the trunk and extremities, which unlike most other kinds of rash involves the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet; in moist areas of the body the rash becomes flat broad whitish lesions called condylomata lata. Mucous patches may also appear on the genitals or in the mouth. A patient with syphilis is most contagious when he or she has secondary syphilis.

Other symptoms common at this stage include fever, sore throat, malaise, weight loss, headache, meningismus, and enlarged lymph nodes. Rare manifestations include an acute meningitis that occurs in about 2% of patients, hepatitis, renal disease, hypertrophic gastritis, patchy proctitis, ulcerative colitis, rectosigmoid mass, arthritis, periostitis, optic neuritis, iritis, and uveitis.

[edit]

Tertiary syphilis

Tertiary syphilis occurs from as early as one year after the initial infection but can take up to ten years to manifest - though cases have been reported where this stage has occurred fifty years after initial infection. This stage is characterised by gummas, soft, tumor-like growths, readily seen in the skin and mucous membranes, but which can occur almost anywhere in the body, often in the skeleton. Other characteristics of untreated syphilis include Charcot's joints (joint deformity), and Clutton's joints (bilateral knee effusions). The more severe manifestations include neurosyphilis and cardiovascular syphilis.

Neurological complications at this stage include generalized paresis of the insane which results in personality changes, changes in emotional affect, hyperactive reflexes, and Argyll-Robertson pupils, a diagnostic sign in which the small and irregular pupils constrict in response to focusing the eyes, but not to light; Tabes dorsalis, also known as locomotor ataxia, a disorder of the spinal cord, often results in a characteristic shuffling gait.

Cardiovascular complications include aortic aortitis, aortic aneurysm, aneurysm of sinus of Valsalva, and aortic regurgitation, and are a frequent cause of death. Syphilitic aortitis can cause de Musset's sign (a bobbing of the head that de Musset first noted in Parisian prostitutes).

[edit]

Latent syphilis

Latent syphilis is defined as having serologic proof of infection without signs or symptoms of disease. Latent syphilis is further described as either early or late. Early latent syphilis is defined as having syphilis for one year or less from time of initial infection without signs or symptoms of disease. Late latent syphilis, then, is infection for greater than one year but having no clinical evidence of disease. The distinction is important for two reasons, therapy and risk for transmission.

In practice, the time of initial infection is often not known and in this case should then be presumed to be late for the purpose of therapy. Early latent syphilis may be treated with a single IM injection of a long-acting penicillin. Late latent syphilis, however, requires three such injections, each a week apart. For infectiousness, however, late latent syphilis is not considered contagious while early latent is. Thus, if the duration of infection is not known, one should presume the patient is early and contagious.

[edit]

Congenital syphilis

Congenital syphilis is syphilis present in utero and at birth, and occurs when a child is born to a mother with secondary or tertiary syphilis. Fetus in the utero is most liable to be infected with syphilis after the fifth month. According to the CDC, 40% of births to syphilitic mothers are stillborn, 40-70% of the survivors will be infected, and 12% of these will subsequently die prematurely. Manifestations of congenital syphilis include abnormal x-rays; Hutchinson's teeth (centrally notched, widely-spaced peg-shaped upper central incisors); mulberry molars (sixth year molars with multiple poorly developed cusps); frontal bossing; saddle nose; poorly developed maxillae; enlarged liver; enlarged spleen; petechiae; other skin rash; anemia; lymph node enlargement; jaundice; pseudoparalysis; and snuffles, the name given to rhinitis in this situation. Rhagades, linear scars at the angles of the mouth and nose result from bacterial infection of skin lesions. Death from congenital syphilis is usually through pulmonary hemorrhage.Affected children are highly infectious until about 2 years of age.

hilis can be fatal|||You need to see a different doc, syphilis can kill you!|||You had STD between your toes? I would think it would make itself know in other places of your body. Are you sure you do not have a severe case of athletes foot? Do you know something you are not letting on here?|||If lab tests came back negative, maybe you do not have syphillis, but instead have something like athlete's foot.

Read here for details about syphilis: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syphilis

If you have 3rd stage syphilis, you would be close to death.

You need to go see a different doctor and find out for sure what you have.

If your only symptom is cracks on your toes, perhaps you have a very simple fungus called Athlete's Foot.

Read here for more info on this condition: http://www.podiatrychannel.com/athletesf...|||I believe your doctor. Are you sure you have this? the tests can be negative, yes, but the condition is curable. If you have it the physician would give you medication and kill the spirochetes...if he can not, then how can anyone else? I know a woman who had it and she did not know it for a few years...when she had surgery they discovered it. she was then given medication and cured. keep putting triple antibiotic cream between your toes. I think I would ask the physician to hospitalize me and give me a strong dose of PCN IV. Penicillin intravenously.|||I dont think you have syphillis. I think you have althletes foot. Which is probably why the Erythromycin didn't work. Erythromycin treats infections. You have more of a Fungal problem. Try using tinactin or micatin. that should clear it up in a few days. Third stage Syphillis is deadly you would definatley know if you had it.|||why do you think you have syphilis ...if the tests were neg.sounds like you have a foot fungus to me... Athlete foot include itching and burning feet. The skin frequently peels and, in particularly severe cases, there may be some cracking, pain and bleeding as well.

When the skin is injured by the fungus, bacteria can also invade the skin. These bacteria can cause a bad smell. Bacterial infection of the skin and resulting inflammation is known as cellulitis. This is especially likely to occur in the elderly, individuals with diabetes, chronic leg swelling, or who have had veins removed (such as for heart bypass surgery), and patients with impaired immune systems.

Help what career do you think I should pursuit with these interest?

I'm battling between being a bacteriologist and something with fashion.( I know two completely different choices) But this is what I like doing..

I love finding out what causes diseases or bodily injuries to happen for example if I have a stomach ache I want to know what's going on in there how did this happen. If there's a skin rash I want to know how it originated it etc...but I don't like to interact with people I love being in my own place doing my own work without being bothered. I love to travel and am very adventurous. I love, love fashion but don't want to be a fashion designer. I love art and being creative, I love writing essays, poems, reports or short stories. I'm also very good in presentation. I love advertising but don't like marketing so major in advertising/marketing is out of the question I guess.. Unless there's a field(career) solely in advertising. Being a columnist also crossed my mind but I need more info about that career. As you can see I need a big help!!|||Take an apptitude test.

Chronic urticaria. Any link to vaccines?

I had a flu and a pnemonia vaccine last winter and then after about 5 weeks developed an itchy skin rash, sometimes just red and blotchy, sometimes small blisters appear. The doctor diagnosed chronic urticaria and prescribed an antihistamine (cetirizine) that I've taken daily for 13 months. Problem is eased by the treatment, but will flare up if I miss a tablet. Doctor says causes may be too many to investigate. I just wonder about the timing in relation to the vaccines.|||I diagnose you have a lazy doctor. First of all you need to see an allergist. Please help?

my boyfriends friend has these two dogs that live in the garden, they have a shed with a big blanket they do not come in the house.

they are old dogs and they have big lumps and tumers and skin rash.

i think i am going to phone the rspca if i do this will the rspca tell the owner who called them?|||No, you can ask to remain anonymous. If everyone worried about having an irresponsible owner come looking for payback, no one would report cases of cruelty or neglect.

Have you voiced your concerns to him about how he is not caring for his dogs? If he was my boyfriend, I would probably confront him directly about it first. If nothing gets resolved, then I would call the ASPCA.

You might want to get a new boyfriend anyway. If he treats his dogs that badly, how is he treating you?|||No, they keep things confidential.|||When you call them make sure they don't divulge the tip information. Most of the time that information is confidential.

Hope this helps

Good luck|||No they won't tell your boyfriends friend! I think it's anonymous anyway, but you can tell them, you want to remain anonymous, and your boyfriends friend won't have any idea, who reported him. I think it's a great thing your doing, caring enough about these dogs, to help them! Thank You!|||If you ask to remain anonymous, they won't tell them who called. Please...just call them. These dogs obvioulsy deserve SO much better. And you will feel much better knowing that you helped to save them.|||No matter how old the dog, they are deserving of vet care and humane treatment. Call the ASPCA in your area or look up WWW.PETFINDER.COM and find a shelter in your area. They will help you find a facility to report this to. What ever agency you contact, they will keep the call confidential. Also, reconsider your relationship with someone who would treat any animal like this....Please, for your own sake.|||You've already had some really good responses to your question here and I agree with most of them. Especially the person giving advice about how your boyfriend will treat you if he treats his dogs this way....But I did want to say that my concern is for the skin rash on these dogs. It may be a normal aging process to see some tumors or lumps in an older dog - or even outside dogs. But the skin rash is not a symptom of age, and can be serious.

If nothing else, offer to help him by taking these dogs for some veterinarian care, or check in with your local Humane Society to see if they have some information on a low-cost facility where you can take the dogs to get checked.

Thank you for caring about these dogs. You don't have to, but you do!!

BoxerLady|||why would you care if he knew you called the rspca, your either a animal lover or your not and if a dog is being mistreated you should report it, if it were me in your position i would tell the boyfriend, "i see how your animals are treated im wondering if 10 years down the road if im gonna be treated like that dog", a way a person treats their animals says alot about them, protect the animals you can always get a new bf|||I'm pretty sure you can stay anymose per request! Double check when or if you call them.

I think if the dogs are not comfortable and in pain calling the authoities would be the proper thing, however a vet from the RSPCA will determine the best.

Good luck|||Every dog has his day. The dogs are old and ready to die anyways, dont waste your time, and lose your friends over this.

Herpes or what?

um.. for about a week i had very itchy labia that were red and irritated, and burned when i touched it. there weren't any blisters or anything like that. i had a lot of odorless discharge.. the symptoms disappeared right away as soon as my period came (3 days ago) but now i have a dry skin rash (dry skin with tiny red bumps) on my genitals, buttocks and on my left breast and knee. anyone know what is causing this? im going to the doctor soon but i want some opinions|||If, now I express if, it is HSV (herpes simplex virus), it may present as a recurrent genital diseas with ashorter duration and less sever than the priamry episode. In approximately 50% of patients, the recurrences are preceded by a characteristeic prodrome (feeling of an onset of a cold or symptoms before the main manifestation of the disease) of burning or tingling in the area in which the lesions eventually erupt. Episodes of recurrence may be as frequent as every 2 to 3 weeks or may be infrequent. Unfortunately, any infected person may shed virus asymptomatically. Such individuals may be important vectors (spreaders or hosts doe the illness) for the virus.

What you are describing, if (stress on if) it is herpes, it is most likely herpes gladitorium where the infection is over a large surface of the body . . . but this is usually associated with rugby or wrestling, or even if the person's sexual partner is experiencing symptoms or shedding of the virus at the time of contact.

To explain the odor . . . well that is why I think it may be something else. Go see a doctor immediately.
